Cliff Site (2)
Although the cliff site has a commanding view of the river valley, it is not embedded in a water course as is the case with other local sites. The most distinctive feature of the site is the quality of light. The slopes below the north-facing cliffs are littered with boulders which are encased in heavy coats of rust-colored lichens. In the winter months, the shadow of the cliffs envelops the arroyo below in twilight throughout the day.
